Biography
Sig Ragga was formed in Santa Fe in 1997. The link between its members is given by the importance that had the music in their lives. Children of musicians and artists, grew up surrounded by records and drawings, fusion that characterizes the band forever.
The art has permeated each of the leaves in its history, since from its origins have known staging look through the clothing that is designed for themselves and makeup and various paintings on their bodies. Go on stage has as correlate what muted scream. It is a spiritual quest and its own language, which corresponds to that childhood conversed with film of Fellini, the paintings of Salvador Dali, El Bosco, the music of Raschmaninov and Chopin, to literature of Julio Cortazar and Jorge Luis Borges.
Thus, in 1998, Sig Ragga released his first EP with great influence of Jamaican Rock Steady participating in international compilations in France and Spain.
In 2005, with Diego Blanco (Los Pericos) as artistic producer and recording engineer released the album "Sig Ragga". The board has own themes and special interests as Pato Banton. From the album begin the presentations though the country, to participation in three editions of Pepsi Music in 2006, 2008 and 2009, with artists like Ziggy Marley, Skatalites, Mike Rose, Los Pericos, Los Cafres, Cultura Profética, Ky- Mani Marley, Divididos, among others.
In recent years, Sig Ragga records your video clips with the themes “Cuchillos” and “Lo que has hecho siempre: quererme”.
In 2013 they will present their new album, recorded and produced entirely in the studio Sonic Ranch in Texas, United States in late 2012, under the direction of Engineer Eduardo Bergallo, known for his work with Soda Stereo, Shakira, Gustavo Ceratti, Diego Torres, among other artists.
Recently, Sig Ragga Rock participated in the Rock Park next to Los Cafres, and will be performing in Chile in May, the “Siempre Vivo Reggae 2013”, 12th edition of the Festival.
In 2016 they released their third album “La promesa de Thamar” edited by S-Music.
