Biography
Born from the desire of Sergio to play alongside, his older brother Santiago. It was a project delayed for many years. After a few jam sessions, generated in both the concern to capture those sessions on a disc that was edited by Oui Oui Records in 2010. Later, the band took own flight to gestate a second part of this dogmatic and spiritual battle defined as "music of resistance".
His second album, "Ararat II", with raw sounds and long instrumental passages, proposed through new and different textures, a lot of power and perhaps even a bit of brute force that goes hand in hand with a more realistic artistic, gestating what it could be categorized as a rock band doomsday. The backbone of the album is on the three themes of bass and drums and, unlike the previous album, the lyrics tell stories or simply describe a common reality that bleeds when singing. Recorded by: Sergio Ch in Creole guitar, bass, piano and voice and Alfredo Felitte on drums and theremin;. also they participated in the recording Santiago Chotsourian in Piano and Haien Qiu on vocals.
After the release of their second album and after many live shows in duo format, the band consolidates incorporating stable member Tito Fargo as providing orchestration and sounds donation,
Already in trio format they find their sound with the contribution of its three members. After two years of shows, in July 2013, Ararat recorded in Romaphonic Studios (ex Circo Beat) their third album, “Cabalgata hacia la luz”. With the production of Tito Fargo and Walter Chacon as recording and mixing engineer. The group recorded 13 songs currently being sent to the United States masterizar by Tom Baker (known for his work with Black Sabbath, Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper and Danzig, among many more).
They define their new album fuses electro Creole style with the power of Rock, Psychedelia and Experimental Trance; the result is a system based on alternative instruments sound in the guitars go into the background to make room for other instruments: bass, drums and keyboards, without neglecting the fundamental essence of the songs that emerged spontaneously in a constant search for a forceful but nuanced sound. "Cabalgata hacia la luz" is an honest and direct work, edited by Oui Oui Records in March 2014.
