Biography

In 1999 at the school in the neighborhood of Saavedra in Buenos Aires two strangers met on an improvised stage. Playing some Megadeath and Deep Purple’s tunes, they drove the varied crowd crazy. Ariel Bellizio (guitar) and Alejandro López (drummer) would never been separated even they were thrown out of school after the episode…

Eighteen years before that, a mother gave birth to his son Santiago Burgi while was hearing “The number of the beast” by Iron Maiden. He would later become a tenor; … wearing Rock under the skin.

A ten years old Marcelo Malmierca, son of an unknown Jazz drummer, went mad while listening to King Crimson, ELP, Van Der Graaf and Astor Piazzolla and lost his mind years later making his own synthesizers hoping to reproduce the sounds that they left in his head.

Juan Manuel López known as the argentinian with the widest knowledge about Kiss, loses his composure after listening to “Sheer heart attack” by Queen. He’s currently studying life and work of David Bowie while playing bass.

Fate brought them together under the name Fughu.

In march, 2008, Fughu played in the mythically Luna Park Stadium as Dream Theater’s support band, after having been selected by the North Americans for such end.

The response of the public was unusually positive. In 2009, with own production, Fughu edits his first album “Absence” gathering an endless number of praises both in Argentina and in the world.

The argentine magazine “Jedbangers” and the broadcast announced Gustavo Olmedo mentioned it as one of the discs of the year.

The same year takes part recording the alone one of guitar for the band  Sonder Ange in the song “Dulce nieve”.

On may 24, 2013 Fughu does a strong bet and launches two albums in simultaneous “(the tales) Human” and “Human (the facts)” (conceptual work), the discs received great reviews of the specialized means and realize many you interviews to international means.

Also the same year Fughu released their first official video clip “Inertia”, operated and directed by the band itself.
