Biography
Ginkgobiloba is a Rock trio formed in early July 2001 by Demian Pozzo on guitar and vocals, Jorge Mockert on drums, percussion and vocals and Emiliano Memo Beltzer on bass and vocals. The band has based the creation of his music in experimentation, in the mix of genres and styles: Rock crude and violent seventies, very rhythmic work, enriched with melodies and typical of other genres such as Jazz, harmonies Argentine Folklore, Bossa Nova, Latin American Music, etc., always with the constant presence of improvisation, combined in turn with arrangements. That combination sound that the band get in its first CD, released in 2004 under the name homonym, through the UMI (Union of Independent Musicians) arises. The group has collaborations in various shows such as child to the country “Al pais del Cuentico, Cantico y Bailico” by Marcela Sabio work; group and solo cantata "Hijos de la Tierra" by Jorge Mockert, together with the Symphony Orchestra of Entre Ríos, the Children's Choir and Adult Nogoyá and direction of Reynaldo Semba. Ginkgobiloba since its formation has played numerous times in the city of Santa Fe, Galvez, Rosario, Buenos Aires, Paraná and Victoria (Entre Ríos). Also shared the stage with Fernando Samalea (bandoneon-drummer-composer of Buenos Aires, drummer of many artists like Charly García, Joaquín Sabina, Illia Kuriaky, current Gustavo Cerati) not only as a support act, but as the accompanist band named musician. This occurred within the cycle NEW! in Sala AB - Centro Cultural San Martín, Bs. As. (this time, along with other musicians like Fernando Kabusacki and Hilda Lizarazu), as well as in the cities of Paraná, Santa Fe and Esperanza.
