Biography
Poseidótica, Instrumental Rock band, formed in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the beginning of 2001, has an own identity and a particular sound made possible by the facility that has the group in filtering different styles (Argentine rock of the 70´s, stoner, hard rock, kraut, alternative rock of the 90´s and films soundtracks) without losing it´s characteristic personal seal.
The released of its first album "Intramundo" in June of 2005 (in which played all the drums Walter Broide, drummer of Los Natas) obtained good repercussions all over the world, and let the group to as much grow at level prestige how call.
Successive shows in these last years and the good commentaries obtained by their first disc opened the doors for Poseidótica to the great festivals, participating in three editions of the Pepsi Music Festival, always at international gigs (with Megadeth in 2005; with Iggy & The Stooges in 2006 and with Marilyn Manson in 2007).
Throughout these last three years, the group appears intensely in Capital and Province of Buenos Aires, and different cities (Montevideo, the Silver, Santa Fe, and Sea of the Silver), standing out how one of the bands of the style with more live recitales on its backs.
In the second semester of the 2007, Poseidótica harvests excellent critics by its performance in the third edition of the Festival Pepsi Music. In addition the participation of the set in the Hall Golden next to Carca stands out, in the cycle Mr. & Mrs. Rock in the Cultural City Konex, and being one of the acts of closing of the Music cycle is my Girlfriend in Unione. The year finishes very high for the band obtaining a note in contratapa of the Supplement Spectacles of the daily Bugler about instrumental music in Argentina.
For the 2008 Poseidótica it plans to present/display the new disc in Capital, Great Buenos Aires and different localities from the rear area, at the same time that shuffles posilidades to turn by Latinoámerica and Europe.
In 2010, the theme “Acuático”, belonging to the album “Intramundo”, was included in the film “Carancho” by Pablo Trapero, with performances by Ricardo Darin and Martina Gusman, released in May in all theaters of Argentina. Poseidótica theme appears in a key start of the film, which achieved great success at the level of public and media, and has participated at Cannes and being shortlisted for the Oscars time. The film was released in several European countries and the United States.
In the year that marks the tenth anniversary of the band, Poseidótica members are preparing to release their third studio album, due in March 2011 through the label Aquatalan Records. Recorded and mixed between May and September 2010 in the fascinating study The Attic by Patricio Claypole, and mastered in San Francisco, USA, by Justin Weis Trakworx Studio, the album has the participation of Ernesto Romeo (Klauss, ex Pez) capable of bringing different synthesizers, pianos and keyboards.
This new material includes 9 songs that summarize the maturity of the band and the built sonic development during the decade 2000 - 2010, achieving an expansive and direct sound, whose conceptual framework is linked to the future and science fiction, on the shaft and guide retrofuturism different aspects.
In Aquatalan page http://www.aquatalanrecords.com.ar are available two developments (“La Resistencia” and “Dimensión Vulcano”) to listen and download free. Environmental explosive rock and cosmic passages are combined to generate a direct dose of music to teleport.
In early 2011 the band plans to perform live with a luxury training including Walter Broide (Los Natas) to command the drums, showing an intense and sensorial show, with songs of his career and anticipating what will be their new studio album “Crónicas del Futuro”, which finally went on sale in July 2011.
In May 2015 their fourth album called “El dilema del origen”, a co-production Aquatalan Records and Exiles Records was published.
