Biography
Chaneton was born late in 1995. Their original members were Alex Chaneton (guitars and vocals), Patricio Villanueva (vocals) and Adrián Marquez Gómez (Bass). Alex had participated in Mandrágora and Patricio in Rapto de Europa.
They started playing acoustic songs in radios and pubs. In 1996, Willie Ingrasia and Kaito joined the group. Ingrasia played keyboards and Kaito drums.
After recording some singles between 1997 and 1998, two new members were incorporated: Quique Gentile in drums and Charly Keppe en keyboards.
In 1999, during the recording sessions of their first album, called Questions inside the Pictures, Gentile left the group and Jano Pérez Sarmenti, who had participated in Rapto de Europa, joined them in drums and percussion.
In 2000,the CD was released and it was performed in many pubs in Buenos Aires. Also, they opened the concerts of big artists like Steve Hackett, Arena, Flowers Kings and Par Lindh.
Nowadays, they are recording and performing their second album, which is expected to be released in late 2001.
