Biography
Pulsónica is a musical project which combines traditional Afro Latin rhythms with different Progressive Rock styles, always starting from a protagonist percussive work based on the use of polyrhythms, irregular metrics, unisons and percussion solos.
In this search, a great variety of instruments are used. There are two percussion sets, the first one is a drum set with timbales and the other one is composed by congas and accessories. There are also melodic percussive instruments like xylophone and glockenspiel, electric and acoustic guitars, bass guitar, aerophone instruments and programmed sounds.
With an eclectic and unusual musical proposal, already from his original training with Jorge González on drum set, timbales, xylophone and glockenspiel; Carolina Cohen on set of congas and accessories and Marcelo Tubio on guitars and programming; up to the wide range of its sound range, which goes from certain Latin airs, to the most classic Progressive Rock. In 2008 they released their debut album "Movimiento Perpetuo" which combines Hard Rock with great percussive work on which the virtuoso electric guitar and other instruments that enrich the soundtrack such as xylophone, winds, aerophones and additional percussion, are mainly explained.
His second work "Tribaloide" arrives in February 2011, where the experimental suite divided into three parts entitled "Pangea" stands out, continuing with his unmistakable style of power trio Hard Rock with distorted guitars and an ever present highly expressive percussion.
The third Pulsonic record shows this instrumental quartet in its best form, under the name "Fuera de Tiempo", its music continues to be a rare case of Progressive Rock with the emphasis on percussion, which dominates each theme posing folk rhythms, with the varied percussive instruments, while the electric guitar provides the rock identity with powerful riffs.
At the beginning of the year 2019, his fourth production entitled "Entre Mundos" arrives, with several changes in his origin, the incorporation of new nuances, which mainly highlights the string arrangements, varied classical melodies and ethnic rhythms.
