Biography
Franco Salvador is the second and current drummer of Argentine Rock band Pez. He joined the band in 1995, replacing Pablo Poli Barbieri, and recorded all subsequent albums, starting from the second, “Quemado”. His arrival in the band was due to the fact that his brother had been a member of Los Minimals, a band that Ariel Minimal had had in the 1980s. In addition to being the drummer, Franco Salvador composed songs on almost every Pez album. Some of his songs are “Faltan miles de años más” (in the album “Folklore”), “Vientodestino en Vidamar” (in “Convivencia sagrada”), and “Los lados B” (in “Hoy”).
In 2008 he released his first solo album, through the label Azione Artigianale, called “Hago lo que quiero y quiero lo que hago”. The album counts on the participation of other musicians of the label, including to its companions of band Ariel Minimal, Leopoldo “Pepo” Limeres and Gustavo” Fósforo” García. The disc was presented live with a band formed specifically for the occasion, in which Franco played the guitar instead of the drums.
In 2012 he released his second album, titled "La cruda realidad", which shows a more closely related sound with Argentine rock from the 70's. For the presentation of this album, he formed a band called "Los crudos" (unrelated to the hardcore band of the 90 ') with Power Trio formation and complete with Gonzalo Giménez on bass and Miguel Pagliarulo on drums.
