Biography
Sergio Poli Ensamble is formed in early 2011 in the city of La Plata. It is a formation that seeks to expand the language of Jazz Rock incorporating different genres such as Celtic Music, World Music, Funk, Reggae and Rock.
He presented his first album “Canícula Metrópolis” in 2012 with their own compositions and versions of artists such as Jaco Pastorius, Richard Bona, John Scotfield, among others.
His second CD “Luna de hielo” was recorded live in en “Ciudad Vieja” (La Plata) and published in 2016, combining elements of Jazz Rock, Reggae, Flamenco, Celtic Music and Rioplatense Music. It includes original music and versions of Dave Weckl, Pat Metheny, Frank Zappa, among others. It also has cover art by renowned platense artist Rocambole, creator of the graphic image of Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota and the guitarist Skay Beilinson.
