Biography
Futbol is a Rock trio with a Punk spirit and Progressive influences.
They came together in 2003 and in the lasts 9 years they have independently released 4 albums. Two of them are mostly conceptual and instrumental: "Elige tu propia aventura" (Choose your own adventure), with compositions inspired by the stories of the first 14 volumes of the book collection with the same name and "Mas Bambino que nunca" ( More Bambino than ever) released in 2005, where other musicians collaborate by playing instruments not very much used in rock compositions.
In 2008 Futbol launched "Papá se va a Japón" (Dad goes to Japan), recorded at the legendary Studio Ion, but this time there were no guests musicians and no insturmental overwritings. As a result, only the real and genuine sound of the band was registered.
At the end of 2011 the band released their fourth, called "La gallina" (the hen), also recorded at Ion. 23 minutes of raw and visceral rock, 10 headkicks of their own authorship that follow the style of their previous releases. For this occassion, they had two luxury guests, Ariel Minimal in corus and Sergio Rotman in sax. This last piece of work was played in numerous shows all along 2012
In 2013 Futbol continued with the presentation of all their albums in Buenos Aires and the rest of the country, leaving their soul and heart in every stage. Last concert was at Konex, where they were invited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pez and the 10 years of life of Futbol.
In March 2014 they closed the first edition of the Rock Festival "Festipulenta" and few days later they inaugurated the season of "Música en el Senado" playing in the National Parliament with great success. The DVD filmed at the Festipez in 2013 is ready and includes an interview with Federico Villena (who inspired the song "Beto mata por gusto" (Beto kills for fun) part of "papa se va a Japon") and other representative images of the band.
This year will continue with more concerts in Great Buenos Aires and the Capital city.
Towards the end of 2016 comes his fifth studio album "Fabio", that opens another stage for the band, are nine songs that immediately refer to the essence of Futbol but with the renewal and authenticity that characterizes each of his released albums.
