Biography
The guitarist and composer Marcelo Gutfraind was born in 1965. He has studied with Hal Crook, Jerry Bergonzi, John Abercrombie, Mick Goodrick, apart from participating in workshops given by Pat Metheny, Gary Peacock, Kenny Werner, Gary Burton, Jim Hall and John Scofield. He leads a trio and a quartet, and he is part of Hernán Merlo, Paula Shocron and Ernesto Jodos bands. He recorded three albums with his own compositions: “Experimentos de ida y vuelta” (PAI, 1994), “Río abajo” (BAU Records, 2003), “2do plano” (Sofá Records, 2011) and “Notre” (2012). He played the guitar in the records of Eleonora Eubel, Ricardo Cavalli and Paula Shocron.
