Biography

Hernán Cassibba is a bassist based in the city of Buenos Aires and is a graduate of the Escuela de Música Contemporánea, specializing in electric bass, and the Technique in Jazz at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Manuel de Falla, in double bass. He has also done special composition studies under the guidance of Guillermo Klein and piano with Esteban Sehinkman. In his strictly professional role he has acted as a sessionist and in numerous shows and recordings along with many of the most prominent performers of the local Jazz scene. In addition, Cassibba has risen to different stages with key artists such as Tim Berne, Guillermo Klein, Richard Nant, Juan Cruz de Urquiza, Guillermo Romero, Ignacio Amil, among others.

.He initially participated in the group La Finca de Laurento where he ventured into Progressive Rock recording the band's second album “Fuerza” (2012) and was part of Onmo6, with whom he made two Jazz Fusion works: “Quilonmo” (2010) and “No le pidas peras al Onmo6” (2012).

Currently, this extraordinary, lucid and refined bassist integrates different groups in parallel in which he shines in the execution of his instrument and also in the role of composer and arranger, among them: Anonimus Big Band, Big Nant, Leandro García 4teto, Tomás Velázquez Sexteto Índigo, Julián Solarz Grupo and Daniel Rozitchner 4teto.

Since 2015, on the other hand, Cassibba officiates as the leader of a group of his own with which he toured the Buenos Aires musical circuit, as well as international festivals such as Jazz a la Calle, from Uruguay.
