Biography
Atlanticus is a quartet of musicians with long experience in the Argetnine Rock, with the bold idea of revaluing all those original proposals that the Argentine Rock developed in the beginning by famous groups like Pescado Rabioso, Invisible, Aquelarre, Color Humano, they summing the influences of foreign artists like King Crimson, Jethro Tull or Mahavishnu Orchestra, formed with the central aim of developing these special ideas in the context of an actual musical sound. Atlanticus members come from different musical branches, each contributing skillfully colors and influences, with Oscar Reyna and Ricky Sáenz Paz, a very long history in the Argentine Rock for years, Andres Figueroa from a current Jazz and Victor Lerner from horizons near by metal.
Recently composed as a quintet, the new group's plaque contains eight songs with a proposal that comes with certain reminiscences to the national rock of the seventies, to international progressive rock bands and a careful aesthetic.
Conformed by Oscar Reyna (ex Skay and the Fakirs) in vocals and guitar, Ricky Saenz Paz (ex 7 Dolphins) in bass and stick, Andrés Figueroa (ex Sul Divano) in sax, flute and clarinet, Víctor Lerner (ex Prognois) in drums and Martín Fernández on guitar, the band achieved a successful lyric and sound concept, recording along with percussionist Lucas Becerra as a guest musician at Sala Roja, TDR Rec Studio and La Marca.
