Biography
Pasajero Luminoso is an Instrumental music quartet whose language integrates diverse rhythms such as Tango, Candombe, Chacareras and Zambas, Jazz and Progressive Rock. In this mixture, melodies with a strong local flavor coexist with moments of improvisation and sound experimentation.
Leopoldo "Pepo" Limeres (former Pez keyboardist) and Pablo Valotta, former colleagues in the group led by Gerardo "Toto" Rotblat: "Orquesta Jabalí" once again join forces in a new musical project sharing the authorship of the compositions. After a period of joint elaboration of the repertoire, the guitarist and composer Juan Pablo Moyano (who also collaborated with some of his compositions) and the drummer and percussionist Fabián Miodownik joined the group.
This quartet began to record their first album in September 2013 at Kimono Studios with the technical assistance of Claudio Lafalce. The homonymous album “Pasajero Luminoso” was released in April 2014, it contains ten songs of South American Contemporary Music, a link between tradition and modernism.
In November 2014 he recorded his second album entitled "Afuerino" presented at the Goñi Theater in June 2015,
For 2016 Pasajero suffers the loss of its bassist Pablo Valotta, and immediately the band regroups to continue the journey and incorporates the excellent bassist Ezequiel Rivas. Thus recording his third album entitled " El corazón de las ballenas ", in Tres Sesiones live at the Soundrec Studio, under the technical assistance of Ricardo Sanz. It was published in October 2017, making its official presentation in public at the same time as its launch.
In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, they released their fourth album titled “Pujol” - (2020), but almost a year later this album is released on CD backed by the Viajero Inmóvil Records label.
With changes of members, the group begins another stage with the incorporation of Pablo Castagneris on bass and they record their fifth studio work under the title “Pool”, which is finally released towards the end of 2023.
