Biography

Cuco is a Post-Rock / Noise / Experimental band formed in the city of La Plata, Argentina, in 2003. It is composed of Leito Vozdelmudo (vocals and guitar), Daniela Ocampo (drums), Sebastián Novoa Oliva (keyboard and programming) and Sebastián Baigorria (bass). They changed their formation several times passing many friends musicians, saxophonists, percussionists, noiseist, keyboardists, bassists and guitarists. In 2006 they created a collective called Colectivo Caracol Rojo alongside some friend bands in the city of La Plata as well as Montevideo (Uruguay), Buenos Aires and the City of Las Flores.

Among his varied influences that are not only music are John Zorn, Fugazi, Boredoms, Swans, Mr. Bungle, Eduardo Mateo, David Lynch, John Cassavetes, John Waters, Rafael Barrett and Emma Goldman.

Since its inception they have organized several festivals with many bands of different styles and backgrounds. Since 2007 began a channel of communication with Uruguay, specifying five recitals in the neighboring country and bringing several bands playing friends to the city repeatedly.

To date they have recorded six albums, the latest edition recently named “Cuco”, recorded in Tolosa Studies Gualberto De Orta and mixed and mastered in Portland (USA) by Billy Anderson.
