Biography
Ave Tierra is the result of a project of a group of friends originally from Olavarría called Astrocity, bold tribute to the comic that released the imagination and transported the characters in this story to a space and a time line with expectations of what we could called reality (in childhood) or fiction (today). The stable formation of the band was formed by brothers Eduardo (guitar and vocals) and Guilermo Mauro (drums), Martín Tosi (bass) and Germán Garibotto (vocals). Between 2002 and 2007 they recorded three albums (“Astrocity”, 2002; “Lago”, 2003 y “Ave Tierra”, 2007) and the EP (“Gamma”, 2005).
The year was 2007 and before starting the recording Ave Tierra, the group takes a turn in formats and styles with a totally fresh and irreverent proposal within the Rock genre and song. During training recording initial power trio returned to (Mauro-Tosi-Mauro) and found its exact format, wild number.
Finally the album was recorded, mixed and mastered in Olavarría by Guillermo Mauro, drummer of the band. In September 2007 decided to edit it in digital format for free and free download through Blogger and Myspace achieving a very good impact.
In the year 2008 it was definitively established in the city of La Plata with Nacho Huarte (Dr Setto and the Macoña Staff) on bass. Live performances became increasingly assiduous.
In 2009 the band decided to change their name to Ave Tierra, title of their first album and mandala of spiritual communion of its members. the disc is reedited with a new graphic concept by Dante Sangiacomo, designer who handles most of the posters and graphic art of the band.
In late 2010 released the EP “Fuegos”, composed of three items: a version of “Jeremías pies de plomo” - Vox Dei, a new version of “Ave Tierra” with Leito Aguilera (Cuco singer) on vocals and theme “Fuegos”, a preview of the second disc.
In June 2012 formally edited “Elefantes negros” on CD format (recorded by Hernán Mateo and then mixed and mastered by Pablo Amarillo) with an epic presentation in Puravida bar (La Plata) before a packed local people waiting and several guest artists . The poet Emiliano Tavernini is responsible for presenting them.
From August 2012 Diego Denápole took over the bass and a new stage begins for Ave Tierra continues to carry the album in various scenarios Olavarria, La Plata and Capital Federal.
Between 2012 and 2013 prepared eight themes, which were finally recorded live on 14 and 15 December in studies "The Pie" (Capital Federal) with Gonzalo Pájaro Rainoldi as recording technician. He was then mixed by the same in the studio mixing CRUDE (Capital Federal), in March 2014. In April they sent the material to Denis Blackham (responsible for work of The Who, Black Sabbath, CSN & Y, T-Rex, Marc Bolan, Jimi Hendrix, etc.), who took care of the mastering of the album in April 2014. In May released a simple preview of the new material, called “En la Luz”. This simple contains two issues: “El hambre de los sin nombre” with Leito Aguilera (Cuco) on voclas, and “En la luz y en la oscuridad” with Federico Terranova (Futbol & Orquesta Típica Fernández Fierro) on violins.
In June, Ave Tierra toured the country for more than a month in his first federal tour, playing at various venues in the provinces of Buenos Aires, San Luis, Córdoba, Salta and Jujuy; where they presented issues of “El hombre nuevo”, the third work long duration of the band.
