Biography
I think the Furies do not fall into any stereotype. His influences are in their music but in no way make the whole. They are only one component in a strange space equation psychedelic flashbacks to childhood on starry plains and snowy forests of Illinois and a pessimist retrofuturism. His aesthetic both image and sound shows. Seem to be saying: The vision of the future in all its aspects was more interesting than the future that came, someone is wrong on the way.
Somehow Furies are polaroid cameras discarded by their owners in exchange for the convenience of digital maelstrom, analog synthesizers abandoned in garages, delays with the mouldering tape that add uniqueness to their sound but they stop working inside occasionally.
They are an interesting and different band, a group of young enthusiasts reverberations and oscillations that, contrary to the cliché of the underground band that could be but is not the fault of the system, take the challenge with a smile and a bewildering array of pedals effects playing together seem a weapon to devolve demonstrations inattentive ear, but for some reason hypnotizes many others. No, they do not rant against the system and also support with a smile, that the biggest obstacle they have is their own lack of appetite for anything that must or want to do. Astronauts lumpen once in space, they prefer to stop and look at the stars more closely, before repairing a broken spaceship to work better solar panel.
In late 2010 they released their first LP by Sadnessdiscos, called “Donde se fabrican las ciudades” (SD019).
