This Heavy Rock band was led by Norberto "Pappo" Napolitano and had constant changes in its line-up. With Lebón and Amaya they recorded their first album in 1971 and the second in '72. For the third album, there was another line-up: Pomo in drums and Machi in bass and backing vocals. To record their fourth album, in 1974, David Lebón (but in guitar) and Black Amaya (drums) returned and new members joined Alejandro Medina in bass and Isa Portugheis in percussion.
At the same time, Pappo played as a soloist and as guitarist invited by other groups. While he lived in Europe, the record company released "Triángulo" (1974) and "Volúmen 6" (1975) with previously unreleased material. In those albums, Pappo played with Eduardo Garbagnatti (drums) and Eduardo Beaudoux (bass).
During 1977 Pappo made Aeroblus, another heavy rock band which was not very successful due to the constant "returns" of the members of Pappo's Blues. In 1978 "Volúmen 7" was recorded, with Medina in bass and Darío Fernández in drums.
"Adiós Pappo's Blues, bienvenido Riff " was the name of the concert that was given on November 14 1980 at Sala Uno. That was the official farewell "oficial" of the group, but not the real one. In many opportunities, during and after Riff, " Pappo’s band " went back on stage
"Caso cerrado" (1995) was the eight album of the group, with the single "Ruta 66" and the tracks "Tomé demasiado" and "Castillos mágicos españoles". The guest artists were Celeste Carballo and Botafogo, in "Algunos deslices". «I used to go everywhere with the tapes under my arm –he recalls- and I recorded it little by little. One day I wanted to do something and I called Black and Julie Ruth to make a song, another day I met with Juanse to play together. And it came out that way» (La Nación newspaper, 17/11/95).
The last record of Pappo's Blues was "El auto rojo", published in 1999 in trio format, with Pappo on guitar and vocals, Yulie Ruth on bass and Gustavo Gonzalez on drums. Besides the traditional Rock and Blues, incorporating a little of Funk. In addition, Gabriel Carámbula and Botafogo involved.
