Biography

Anacrusa is an Argentine group of folkloric projection created in Buenos Aires in 1972.

He started recording the following year. He renewed the interpretation of folkloric projection, combining traditional and modern styles and instruments.

His influences are linked to Argentine and Latin American Folklore and Progressive Rock.

The name of this mainly Argentine folkloric group originates in the European musical form called Anacrusa (from the Greek ?ν?κρουσις [anákro?sis], backward movement), in this case rather with the sense of returning to the origins of the Argentine Folklore.

"Encordado" was the return of the band, recorded at the beginning of 2005 with a string quartet and several guest soloists. The plaque is composed of new works made in the last period and never recorded, as well as new arrangements on classical themes.

Always under the general direction of Castiñeira de Dios, the group formed with Susana Lago (singing and piano), Alejandro Santos (flute, tenor sax, quena and sikus), Hugo Pierre (soprano and alto saxophones, flute and clarinet), Ricardo Lew (electric and acoustic guitar), Enrique "Zurdo" Roizner (drums) and Allan Ballan (double bass, electric bass).
