Biography
The Seasons was formed in 1965 and consisted of two historic figures of Argentine rock: Carlos Mellino (future Alma & Vida) and Alejandro Medina (future Manal), plus Freddy Izorogastua and Carlos Centoze. As was customary in many musical groups of the time, they composed their songs in English, with a strong influence of The Beatles in both their music and their aesthetics. Through Horacio Malvicino they recorded their first two singles in 1965, which contained the songs "Estoy correr", "Es mejor que", "I'm here again" and "Long time ago". Even though they had not had a great impact, in 1966 the Microfón label produced their first LP called "Liverpool at B.A". The album contained all their own songs, composed by Mellino and Medina under their respective pseudonyms (Rodney and Max). Legend has it that the band's manager was Billy Bond and it is said that on the day of the photo session, in the absence of the drummer, it was Billy himself who appeared with the drumsticks raised. The group performed on a few stages, one of them being the Teatro De La Fábula, in a series of concerts held under the motto "Here, There and Everywhere". Its main organizers were Miguel Grimberg and Susana Nadal (from the Nueva Visión bookstore). Tanguito (under the pseudonym Donovan), Moris, Javier Martínez, Miguel Grimberg, under the pseudonym "Morgan X" and Seasons themselves also participated. At the beginning of 1967, they reached a dead end: Medina wanted to play the blues and Mellino considered jazz fusion to be his thing, so the group ended up dissolving.
