Considered as the Argentine "Mod" group par excellence back in the sixties, their sound had an uncanny similarity with English groups of the time, such as The Kinks and The Rolling Stones. With all their songs sung in English and with very good vocal arrangements, the album features a couple of the band's own tracks and a great quantity of covers. They reached considerable success with their own version of Them's classic, "Gloria". This CD includes several bonus tracks.

Presenting changes in their line-up, the band's third LP began to combine songs in English and Spanish, as well as incorporating most of their own, self-penned songs. The return of mythical Argentine band Manal in 1980 really hit the big time, with five live concerts at the City of Buenos Aires' "Obras" Stadium in May and a sixth one held on June 14th (which this recording originated from.) They later toured the country's biggest cities. In 1984, a second volume was released on cassette format, which featured three additional songs not included in the original LP first time around, and that were updated with better sound quality. These were added as bonus tracks on this CD.

This album is generally considered to officially be the very first Argentine Rock Opera release. Fronted by leader Julio Presas, their Spanish-sung music offered a wide variety of genres, such as Psychedelia, Progressive Rock, Folk, and Jazzy moments within a satirical tale about the course of a person's life during those agitated and conflicting early seventies' days in Argentine history. This CD also includes four bonus tracks, which represent the A & B sides of the singles they previously launched to "Ohperra vida de Beto."

To describe the musical deformation that this band has produced in this their second album, is a highly complicated challenge. The group's music is complex, as it is sonically-speaking of an Electronic / Alternative Pop orientation, albeit also comprising crisscrossing rhythms and poly-rhythms, constant changes and arrangements linked to an academic level of Progressive Jazz and Rock component. We could associate these lads' sound to that of Muse. It is ultimately up to the listener to decide under which genre she or he would prefer to pigeonhole and typecast this extraordinary artistic work.

One year on after their very successful “En el hospicio” album, Erausquin and De Michele introduced a more elaborate record consisting of nine songs. With a larger instrumentation variety and more refined compositions, the string arrangements, as well as the input by essential guest musicians, really stand out, thus raising the duet’s music to a whole other level.

Hailing all the way from La Plaata, the capital city of the province of Buenos Aires, comes this potent Stoner Rock / Psychedelia / Doom (albeit a softer, more Experimental treatment) Power Trio. Their compositions are sung almost entirely in Spanish, and the outfit's influences can be effortlessly traced back to Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and Jimi Hendrix.
